Pete Pin is a documentary/portrait photographer based in San Francisco, CA. He received his BA in Political Science at the University of California at Berkeley, graduating magna cum laude and was awarded the Outstanding Honors Thesis award from his department. Pete purchased his first camera months before embarking on an eight year PhD program in Political Science at Berkeley and left graduate school after a year to pursue photography full-time. He is entirely self-taught.
In the Fall of 2010, he will be attending the International Center of Photography's Photojournalism and Documentary Photography program in Manhattan. His project, The Ave, was recently published in David Allan Harvey's Burn Magazine and was a finalist for a 2010 New York Photo Award.
